Description

After 5 successful years, the sixth annual California Artisan Cheese Festival is expanding to a full weekend-long celebration of the exploration of handcrafted cheeses, foods, wines and beers from California and beyond. We love this festival where you meet the cheesemakers while tasting their works of cheese-art. We hope to see you there. / Laiko

At the Festival, you can learn how to taste, buy, serve and enjoy distinctive artisan cheeses from award-winning cheesemakers and experts. There's something for every level of cheese lover, even the kids! Pick and choose your own cheese adventure from the marketplace, local farm and creamery tours, tastings, and seminars. Each educational seminar and tasting is led by cheese experts, cheesemakers, chefs and fromagiers from across the country and explore everything from "Grilled Cheese, Please!" to "The Hows and Whys of Fermented Food" (and virtually every session involves tastings and/or pairings of artisan cheeses).

The cheese making class with Mary Karlin in which we learned about making fromage blanc, brin d’amour cheese, and chevre was really great and the tasting in which maybe 50 restaurants and wineries served small bites in a competition was really fun and so delicious. I’d definitely go again next year!
